# Introduction to Logic Function and Boolean Algebra

The binary numbers are basic building block of all computer logics. The memory, register, read/ write units all are binary based.

The **Logic function** and **Boolean algebra** both are integrated in one to design logic circuit of computer or any electronic circuits.

(a) ** Proposition: **Any true or false declarative sentence is termed as proposition or statement.

*Example*:

(i) Java is an object oriented language:* True statement*

(ii) George Boole was mathematician and logician: *True statement*

(iii) The sun rises in the west: *False statement*

(iv) What is the organic compound?: *No* proposition

(b) * Negation*: When a statement is presented by its contradiction, then that statement is known as

*negation statement*.
