# Introduction to Logic Function and Boolean Algebra

The binary numbers are basic building block of all computer logics. The memory, register, read/ write units all are binary based.

The Logic function and Boolean algebra both are integrated in one to design logic circuit of computer or any electronic circuits.

(a) Proposition: Any true or false declarative sentence is termed as proposition or statement.

Example:

(i) Java is an object oriented language: True statement

(ii) George Boole was mathematician and logician: True statement

(iii) The sun rises in the west: False statement

(iv) What is the organic compound?: No proposition

(b) Negation: When a statement is presented by its contradiction, then that statement is known as negation statement.
